2010Mark Miller - Australia - "I had a great time. The tour was excellent and the other travellers where also great so overall it was excellent. I hope the rest of the Tour, including the Etape, went well for you. All the best for the future and I will definitely recommend Cyclomundo to my friends who are considering doing such a Tour."
2010Jenny Earle and Gordon Gilbertson - Canada - "This is our second trip with Cyclomundo and we would recommend the company to our friends - so good job. I hope your etape du Tour went well - it sounded like there were a ton of riders."
2010Kristine Charbonneau - USA - "Lucile, I just wanted to write you a quick note and let you know that we had a marvelous time on the bike ride last week! Everything was so wonderful. The dinner was great and hotel gonoud worked out perfectly. Provence was gorgeous last week, riding by farms and vineyards, the smells were wonderful. Again, thanks for a great trip."
2010Karen Thompson - Canada - "I just wanted to tell you that, even though the weather didn't always cooperate, we had a great time on our bike trip in the Dordogne. We were never disappointed, and were often surprised, by the quality of accommodations and the food. And the riding was fine. We've already recommended Cyclomundo to several of our friends."
2010Geoff Lawley, Russel Lynch, Rodger Austen, David Clark, Grahame Lindsay, Steve Mudie - Australia - "Bonjour.
I want to pass on our thanks for arranging the trip, the accommodation was excellent, great locations and quality. We particularly liked the Chateau and Nancy's B & B in Carentan, but the service from Daniel at the Churchill Hotel in Bayeaux was outstanding. The restaurants chosen gave us great variety and character and our food experiences really added to the adventure. Cannot say enough good things about the meal at the Chateau, it was exceptional! The route was well planned and covered so many places of interest and beauty, with little villages and country roads mixed with the sombre historic sites kept us interested for the entire time. "
2010Kara, Shelley and Krista - USA - "I just wanted to let you know that the 3 girls from Utah had an amazing time!! We loved the routes through Provence, all of the hotels, and the food was delicious! We especially enjoyed Hotel le Pins. The staff were so friendly and it was truly a lovely spot! It was so nice to unwind there after a very windy day and rest up for Ventoux...which we did on the most beautiful sunny, low-wind day! What we enjoyed most was the variety along the way. Each day highlighted something new and unique to the Provence area and we loved the surprises we experienced at every turn. Thanks again for a lovely trip and we will definitely ride with Cyclomundo again!"
2010Marita Eliassen - Norway - "We have now returned to Norway after a very nice vacation in Alsace. We would thank you all for making our trip so special. We have lived in first classes hotels and eating very good meals. The towns that we was visiting was really nice and we are so pleased. We will be recommending you for our friends and family and we will be back. Well thank you very much for making our holiday to the best ever :)."
2010Ricki Hadow and David Nesbitt - USA- " Wefore too much time passes, I wanted to take some time to let you know how much David and I enjoyed our trip through the Black Perigord. We thought Cyclomundo a wonderful organization, handling every aspect of our trip with aplomb. My initial impressions of Cyclomundo's competence, caring, and cycling expertise began with Lucile! She was so helpful in answering my questions thoroughly and graciously, as well as assisting me in thinking out our plans. We LOVED our lunch in Domme (and had the best table in the restaurant, thanks to her and Christine, no doubt). We were in awe over the cave art we saw in Font de Gaume. Both of these extras, she helped arrange. Christine further reinforced our view of Cyclomundo's desire to be the best tour operator around. We enjoyed talking with her and appreciated her reassuring competence in all things. The bikes were fantastic. We could not get over how there was truly a gear for every size hill (and there were so many of those, we got to try them all!). We loved the hotels and the towns you chose for us to stay in. The routes you had mapped out were on little, country roads, for the most part, which we heartily appreciated. The breakfasts were great for hungry bicyclists, the dinners most elegant. Our luggage being flawlessly transported from hotel to hotel, seemingly a small thing, was key to our ability to relax and enjoy the trip!
Thanks again to you and your great crew."
2009Terry Loboschefsky - "The snow is flying and we're waxing the skis. The bikes are quiet for now. Anyway...while riding out the current snowstorm, couldn't help but reflect on the "going for the yellow" tour from this summer. The excitement and spectacle of Le Tour...the sweat on the demanding climbs and stuffing our bellies into food commas at the day's conclusion. How can you not love that? Anyway, just wanted to take time to thank you and your crew. We had an absolutely great time!.... and now have many treasured memories to accompany the envious looks from our friends. Hope all stays well for you. "
2009Becky Mohr - " We enjoyed all of the hotels. We really appreciate the smaller, local hotels. We would stay at any of them again! ... Superb [restaurents], especially in Castello d'Empuries, the restaurant just down the street from Hotel Casa Clara. Wonderful! ... We really appreciated that they added the panniers and toe cages [to our bikes]. This made our trip much more enjoyable...Phillippe and Alexandra were extremely helpful."
2009S. J. - " We were not looking for 5 star accommodation. All hotels were clean and comfortable. Our Tour was guided by Bruno, who was absolutely outstanding! We had some fabulous meals at night. The meals "on the road" during the day were variable in quality. This of course is always a bit of chance, as it depends upon which towns the ride passes through, the day of the week and the time of day you reach the town. We were comparing these to a previous trip we had done in Tuscany, where every meal we ate was fabulous, so we had high expectations. Also, Cyclomundo was flexible and prepared to adjust to ideas we had for the itinerary."
2009B. B. - "Moli De Mig Was beautiful and very bike friendly. Recomendations [for restaruants] by local hotel owners were excellent. Again Moli de Mig was excellent. I talked with 3 vendors in Spain/Catalonia for a tour and they all recommended Cyclomundo!"
2008Van Sillerud - "Dinners were out of this world. The service and attention to detail was most exceptional at the hotel in Vitrac. They deserve special notice. In contrast to prior trips, we never missed a turn or got lost. In some ways, we regret that. What can I say? ces't magnifique!"
2007Carlyle Stout - "I loved the Hotel Logis places as the people who run them are are family and are so friendly and the food was delicious. Overall very good directions and the route was fabulous. We loved the small towns and quiet rural scenic roads. You did a very good job on route selection. we had the same bikes that Buttterfield and Robinson used and they were outstanding. We liked them very much. My wife, Barbara, liked her seat, a Selle Italia, so much that she wants to buy one. ... Bruno was very helpful. every time I had a question, he responded in a day or two and answered it."
2007Craig Hillis - Canada - "Sabrina, Thank you and the other staff of Cyclomundo for a great time at the 2007 Etape.... After the excellent service I received this year, I would like to book with Cyclomundo again."
2007Cherith Fuller - UK - "We have just come back from France, having had a fantastic time. Thanks for organizing our holiday. Everything worked extremely well. The routes were well chosen and appropriate for our party. Celine did an excellent job. She gave us excvellent maps, on which our routes were clearly marked. The route notes were also good, The luggage transfers and the transfer back to the start were very efficient."
2007Lynda Taller-Wakter - Canada - "... we wanted to let you know how thrilled we were with the cycling trip, the charts and maps and the hotels.... It's hard to describe just how thrilled and relieved we were that a "blind" internet booking (we didn't have any references for your company) turned into three exceptionally memorable days that we will cherish for a long time to come. Thank you for sharing your passion with the rest of us."
2007Jamie Underwood - Australia -"Dear Bruno and Cyclomundo team, I am just righting to say thank you for the most fantastic tour we have had to date. Everything from logistics, hotels, food and the people was of the highest standards and great value for money. The routes you customised to are needs were just right and enabled us to tackle some of the most endeared and mythical climbs anywhere to be found in the world and will always be in our memories, even if the pain will be quickly forgotten as we plan to attack them again!!!!
We will definitely be returning to the Alps next year as only one of us broke the Alp d’huez hour challenge and we will definitely book it with Cyclomundo! Thank you to everyone at Cyclomundo."
2007Dina Leytes - USA - "HI Bruno, Just want to say thank you again for putting together such a perfect bike weekend. I wrote Nir an email singing your praises. You have a great team and it's clear that you are passionate about what you do. I am certain that you will be popular with the GoL crowd. I wish you big success! Best, Dina"
2007Geoff Lawley - Australia - "Hello Bruno, We have just returned home after doing the Luberon, Alpilles and Cotes du Rhone self guided ride, and want to say thankyou to you and your team for putting together a fantastic few days riding. The choice of areas and routes was exellent and we enjoyed every minute. We will be back in contact to arrange another ride or 2 next year."
2007Paul Naughton - Ireland - "Hi Bruno, Just a quick note to tell you that we had a great time on our cycling trip. The routes were well thought out and provided the kind of challenge that we wanted. The food in the hotels in the evening was first class and the overall support was excellent."
2006Ram Chuttani - USA - "Dear Bruno, You have been on my mind to email. Just emailing to let you know we had a fantastic trip. We have recommended you to several of our friends. All the best to everyone"
2006Dan and Diane Dupuis - Canada - Excerpt from an article published in "Ride with Rendall" written by Dan Dupuis: "In our opinion, there's no race like the Tour de France. But before sharing our experience in this article, it is only fitting that I express our sincere thanks and gratitude to those that encouraged and supported us: the Peak Centre (Kevin Wilson) for their training program and regular monitoring of our results; Ride with Rendal (Glen Rendall) for giving us confidence; and Bruno Toutain of Cyclomundo for all our logistical demands. Bruno and his people, Michael, and Philippe are simply unique people that know everything there is to know about cycling in France--they were a small effective notorious universe that served each rider as a lifeline."
2006Nick Grant - UK - "I meant to email you as soon as we got home to say Sheila and I had a great time in the Dordogne but time slipped by. Everything ran smoothly and we particularly enjoyed the food at the hotel in St Ceré, also very genuine and helpful. Please pass on our belated thanks to Christine when you next contact her, she was great and had obviously planned things very well."
2006George Menzies - The Netherlands - "I was talking to one of the guys who came down in June yesterday about a trip next year and realised that I hadn't written to thank you for setting up the trip to Alpe D'Huez and the Vercors for us.

I just wanted to say that we had an excellent time- the cycling was pitched at the right level, the distances each day were pretty much perfect and the scenery was amazing..... we had an excellent trip and will hopefully be bringing a bigger party next year."
2006Dalia and Ira Bergman - USA - "Hi Bruno! We had a fantastic trip in Provence , and I wanted to tell you that even with the last minute issues, and our flight delay, everything went just right! The biking directions were excellent, the sights to see were teriffic, and the hotels were lovely! In fact, in the last town we had the absolutely best room in the house. So, thank you again for a wonderful trip. I am telling all my friends about Cyclomundo!"
2006Kenneth Stirling - UK - " Bonjour Bruno! Just thought I would email you to say thanks for a fantastic cycling trip in June. I have been watching the Tour very closely this year and it is great to see the climbs that the 4 of us rode up in June. I also have a "Photo Breton" souvenir of myself cycling on hairpin 2 of Alpe d'Huez. Thanks for organising our cycling trip - my best holiday in quite some time! Hope to return next year for more climbs.A bientot."
2006Jean and Carol Aucamp - South Africa - "We are back in south africa after a wonderful 12 days in france . We could not have wished for a nicer vacation. Everything went absolutely smoothly. Our experience in Bourgogne under the care of Florent was especially pleasant. Thanks for all your trouble and great organisation. We really appreciated your prompt replies and personalised service."
2006John Leeves - New Zealand - "Thought we should let you know that our recent cycle tour with you 'Upper Quercy Gems' was absolutely awesome. As you know there were twelve of us on the ride including kids 3, 6, 11 & 13 years old.. Ben our 6 year old rode the whole way no problems at all even the two hills to Roccammadour and the hill climb after the fortified flour mill on the last day. He didnt have to walk at all!!!! Towing ruby, our three year old was no problems and she loved it! The bikes were great, the scenery and villages fantastic, all hotels were great and the food was sensational (we couldnt believe how spoilt we were). Christine, your rep in Souillac had a great attitude, everything was well organised and she was particularly helpful.

We've been fortunate enough to have had lots of great holidays as a family all over the world but this trip topped the lot. So a very big thanks from us all."
2006Emil Hanzevack - USA - "My wife and i just wanted to give you positive feedback on our recent provence bike tour 16may. everything was exactly as you described: the beautiful leisurely route, the meals (especially Auberge de la Reine Jeanne), hotels, and luggage transfer all were well planned and coordinated. we especially appreciated your responsive and personalized emails, as this was our first bike tour and we had lots of questions. we had a wonderful time, and will return. thank you for your help."
2005Frank Palazzolo, Fort Worth, TX - "I just returned from France last night. What a great vacation I had on your trip! Thank you very much for making this vacation hassle-free and an unforgettable experience. Everything was perfect - including the weather. You have really put together an excellent itinerary with great eficiency. Christine was very pleasant and helpful. She even gave my tour details in French! You guys simply exceeded my expectations! What you do, you do very well. You're the best!"
2005Denny Mool, Edina, MN, USA - "Nadya and I are constantly recalling the great time we had thanks to you and Pascal. The experience has changed our lives for the better, as we are now biking at least every other day!! Tell Pascal that we now purposely look for hills because he taught us how to love them."
2005Grant Walter, Australia - "All good things come to an end and I'm back home after what I can only describe as a brilliant holiday. As things turned out I just couldn't conquer Mont Ventoux but I did ride the Col de Mur the next day - sort of consolation prize.

I enjoyed the riding, the hotels were great, the restaurants were even better and the wine, well, as it should have been, it was truly memorable.

I think I'll be back for another tour soon!"
2005Jenni Neill - Australia - "Just a quick note to thank you for the help with our bike hire, We returned from France yesterday after a wonderful holiday. Only a small part was cycling but a very memorable few days. We had a great time: the bikes were great, the help from hotels was great. I will recommend your company to many of my friends who are thinking of doing what we did. Once again a big thank you."
2005Ben Lane, UK - "Just a quick note to say thank you for your help in sorting out our recent Alpine trip. The accomodation you found us in Valliore was fantastic, it was well worth us renting the biggest chalet as we had loads of space. The location was great as well and we added some new cols to the collection from last year. We rode the Madeleine from La Chambre, the Galibier from both sides, the Telegraphe, The Lautaret from Briancon. I also rode over the other side of the valley up to Beaune - that was quite a good climb, though part of the road is gravel! Also got a couple of rides in Switzerland over the Col De La Givrine near Nyon - lovely.
I think the Alps are excellent, truly a beautiful part of the world. We are considering a long weekend around Orange in a month or 2 to do Ventoux. We had planned to do it whilst away this time but the freewheel on my bike broke on the last day!!

I feel I am getting to know the area quite well - so if you want someone to guide a group for a week for you!! Lol.

I have heard a rumour that D'Huez will be a finish next year so although we really want to do the Pyrenee's stages the lure of D'Huez will probably see us back in the Alp's.

Thanks again for helping with a great trip.
2005Carol Robertson, UK - I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the Etape week. I had the most amazing time, spectacular scenery, great company, fantastic food and a terrific atmosphere..... Once again, many, many thanks for a really special time."
2005Peter Wells, Williamstown, MA, USA - "Just a quick hello to once again thank you for a really great and memorable first time in France.

No doubt I will be back to do something like I just did sometime in the near future and in large part due to you three and how welcoming and enjoyable you all were for the two weeks I was there."
2005Eduard Reynhardt, South Africa - "As you know, Theo, Rene and I have cycled the 560 km through Provence and succeeded in riding up Mont Ventoux!

I just wanted to thank you for making this wonderful experience a reality for us. Everything was perfect - the bikes, the hotels, the roads, the scenery!!

Most probably I will be back within the next year or two. I will get in touch with you as soon as I have made up my mind."
2005Dave O'Neill. - Calgary, Canada - I am afraid that I don't watch much television, I'd much rather be outside doing something stupid rather sitting glued to the idiot box. The exception, of course, is of the month of July when OLN's coverage of the Tour de France turns me into a veritable video taping, sleep deprived, stage watching fool. Encore, c'est magnifique! I appreciated the coverage even more this year because I could yell at my wife; "look, there's the place where I lost a lung in my small chain ring," and, "I'm sure Michel Le Fou was immersed in a fountain somewhere near here." The television coverage reminded me of how beautiful your country is, how cycling is embraced by its citizens and the warmth, hospitality and friendliness that we were fortunate enough to experience during our 2005 Tour De Fou.

Organizing a 16 day velotour for 8 old, fat, slow cyclists is a daunting task fraught with "small" details that require constant vigilance in order to ensure that everything works smoothly. From the moment that we started to exchange e-mails with Bruno, our Cyclomundo experience was professional, thorough, practical, and thoughtful. You helped us refine a series of proposed stages into a coherent tour. Your local knowledge and contacts enabled us to acquire accommodation in clean, culturally interesting and secure hotels throughout the journey. Several of our group would now like to move to Bedoin and seek employment as waiters at the Hotel Les Pins or move to Lyon and take consecutive graduate degrees until they encountered a suitable girlfriend or wife. Our home base in the Alps at the Oz ski station was perfect. Some might argue that the "driveway" was a shocker, but it was just what we needed so that we could appreciate the splendor of our surroundings at our standard climbing speed of 12 km/hr. The van was just the right size to be comfortable and the trailer was a great idea for the bike boxes.

Meticulous attention to detail is a key component to a successful tour, but the other equally critical element always involves people and their ability to interact with their clients. Michel Le Guide was a great ambassador for Cyclemundo and, more importantly, an absolute pleasure to have along as our leader. He worked tirelessly to ensure that all the small details were taken care of and helped us develop an understanding of the French people and their culture. From the moment that Michel met us at the airport in Pau until he dropped us off at the airport in Lyon, he was courteous, punctual, accommodating, kind, generous and helpful. It was also nice that he was such an accomplished cyclist and could provide the faster members of the group with some incentive to work hard on some of our loops. His van based support on the point to point stages was welcome for clothes, food, sports drinks, directions to fountains and the solace of a "bail out" if one was required. Michel also helped us make good decisions on our "rest" days in order to take in some of the local points of interest as well as "translating" many of the finer points of "gastronomie" to a bunch of uncultured Canadians.

All in all, our holiday scored a 10 out of 10. We are very grateful for your help in planning such a milestone event in our cycling careers and we will continue to recommend your company and your services, without reservation, to any of our friends who have designs on a similar tour in the future. Many thanks to you both for making a dream become a reality. I hope that we'll be back for Le Fou Two sometime soon. Until then, best wishes for continued success in creating, and sustaining, the best velotour company in France."
2005Chris Morfas _ Sacramento, CA - USA - "I'm certain you are busy preparing for a Tour tour, but I hope to take a few moments of your time to thank you for what was a most marvelous trip. You don't need me to tell you of the region's wondrous charms, but I hope you'll accept my compliments on the work that you, Christine and Sebastian did making our trip so enjoyable. It was truly a special week."
2005Carol Bang-Christensen - Denmark - "At last I can crawl out of the post-holiday workload and to write to you to thank for arranging a truly great holiday. It was wonderful; we loved it. Cycling is the way to do holiday travel! Already thinking about the next trip.

Everything functioned perfectly; the one occasion when there was a problem, Fabienne sorted it out immediately. Your route planning was impressive, especially the way you got us into towns – Avignon in particular, and although I wasn’t too keen on the dirt tracks, I could see they were the least of all evils. I can imagine the “ground work” that finding them must have involved....

.... Overall impression was great: the planning was excellent. Everything was obviously very well organized (luggage transfer etc); however, what was really good was that we didn’t have the feeling that we were being organized ourselves! We had all the benefits of being independent, without the hassle. The same with the route maps: we got lost just enough times to feel courageous, but never irritated. (and from your maps, it was always easy to find our way back)

The friendly, personal aspect started with you, Bruno, and continued with Fabienne at our “welcome” meeting. Thank you so much; it really made a difference. It was like arranging a holiday with friends rather than a purely commercial tour operator. But, of course, this has a down side, for you, at least: when you feel you’re dealing with friends, it’s natural just to send off a quick e-mail whenever a question arises. And these questions need answers, and I know how time consuming answering even short mails is. It must sometimes get too much for you.

So, all in all, once again, a big thank you for a great holiday. We really appreciated all the work that must have gone into it from your side."
